First bloggers started to kill off print journalism and now robots are killing off bloggers, Skynet is real!
Any real journalist knows that bloggers are not the downfall of print journalism, but technology is. A new robot at Intelligent Systems Informatics Lab (ISI) of Tokyo University is currently being tested to be a news reporter.
The journalist robot can explore a designated area, report what it finds and detect if there has been any changes. Such a device would make wartime reporting a much safer option for anyone, not to mention have none of the limitations a real reporter has. The robot will also ask questions to people in the vicinity, which probably means they will receive a cold shoulder (people often hate reporters anyways).
After completing a news article it will even publish it immediately to the Web.
