It was inevitable, Applications are now gift-able from iTunes.
iTunes rolled out a new feature where users can now purchase and gift applications to anyone with an iTunes account in their country. Similar options have previously been available to gift music, albums and movies so this was an expected move from Apple.
In addition to the new gifting option, Apple made some addendum to their Terms of Service (TOS) agreement.
The addendum’s to the iTunes TOS state that users can only gift apps and not in-app purchases, in-app subscriptions or OS upgrades.
Apple also has ensured parental controls won’t be bypassed with this as it prevents users from gifting adult rated material much like music and movies.
So who would like to find Waldo on the house?
In addition to the current contest for a free month of Xbox Live Gold, the 10th person to e-mail owner@play-this.org with a U.S. iTunes e-mail account will get the Where’s Waldo App.
