Web 2.0: Reddit readers amass to terrorize Facebook user, humor to follow

It wasn't long until Garrett invited the Nazi's

After a Reddit reader pointed out another Facebook security flaw, massing evil started to follow.

On Monday Reddit reader Inscrutable_chicken pointed out that after a security flaw on Facebook was found that allows users to search in Facebook for public status updates, that the subject of the matter has an upcoming party. Much like the previous party that was virtually crashed from over 4,000 Redditors, this round comes after the following image proved that simply blacking out a persons name on Facebook won’t keep them anonymous.

Uh Oh

This makes a valid point that simply blacking out a persons name will not render them anonymous from scrutiny. Sites like lamebook and failbook often take user submitted screen captures of people saying rather ridiculous things (our Facef00ked section does this as well and no longer will be, unless their status updates are private). Unless you privatize your status updates, which more often than not is still on the default settings, anyone within Facebook can find these random idiotic things you may say.

This is just another great example of why Facebook should automatically opt everyone out of public updates of any kind. When transferring from a private college only network to the worldwide giant Facebook is now, they should have done a bit more research before screwing everything up and alienating users who made the site huge.

He sure is classy
