Microsoft has officially announced the price of the Kinect for its November 4 release. Pre-order deals now available.Rumors have put the Xbox 360′s Kinect at $150 and gamers have been split on purchasing it, but now that the price is official, will you be buying it?
Microsoft’s Major Nelson has confirmed on his blog that the Kinect and Kinect Adventures will be sold on November 4, 2010 for $149.99. The Kinect will also work with any Xbox 360 ever made.
New Arcade System
A new slim version of the Xbox 360 will also be released that has built in WIFI-N and 4GB of internal memory. This will be replacing the current arcade system that has no included memory. It was also rumored to only have a USB memory device, but this is no longer the case.
Holiday Bundle
The Kinect Holiday Bundle will also be available later this year, but will be geared to gamers without an Xbox 360. It will cost $299.99 and include the 4GB Xbox 360 console, Kinect and Kinect Adventures.
Pre-Order Deals
If you pre-order any Kinect system through Amazon, Microsoft will give you a token to download three exclusive game levels for Kinect Adventures.
Three of the games to launch with the Kinect (Kinectimals, Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride) will retail at $49.99.
