Facebook is rolling out a competitor to Yahoo Answers, dubbed Questions, and a new News Feed toolbar.
Last month we covered Facebook’s search for beta testers, and now they have begun to roll out a new feature for users that have been approved. The questions feature is essentially Yahoo Answers, but incorporates your Facebook information. As all new features of Facebook tend to be, the results are open to the public.
Currently there are some bugs with Questions (questions not appearing), but otherwise it’s a straight forward application. There is likely to be some additional privacy concerns with this as anyone will be able to see your answer. We must once again remind people that anything posted online in correlation with your full name can be found and should be thought about before publishing.
News Feed Tool Bar
The News Feed also has a new set up quick links. This includes “Update Status,” “Ask Question,” “Add Photos,” and “Post Link.” The update status bar is no longer at the top of the News Feed.
