JailbreakMe 2.0 enables iPhone users to now jail break their phone without downloading anything on their computer.
Jail breaking an iPhone is no longer considered illegal as the DMCA exception was approved by the Library of Congress. Although jail breaking your phone will possibly void your warranty, the extra features that Apple does not allow makes it all the more worth while.

Note: Please do this at your own discretion. Jail breaking an iPhone often leads to a few bug issues.
To jail break your iPhone, go to www.jailbreakme.com on your phones safari browser. You will immediately see an option to “Slide to jailbreak,” and the Cydia app will download to your phone. The next screen will say “Downloading… This might take a while.” As Cydia is fully downloaded, a prompt will appear stating, “Cydia has been added to the home screen. Have fun!”
If you are having issues getting stuck at the jailbreak screen, the following options may resolve this.
If you are stuck at the purple screen, do these steps. (Only on 3GS or 4)
- Put your iphone to Airplane mode.
- Go to – Setting – safari – Cookies – Accept.
- Double tap home button.
- Press and hold to quit safari (in multitask mode)
- Clear all Cache n cookies.
- Put your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 back into wi-fi and or 3G mode.
- Open safari and go to jailbreakme.modmyi.com
- If it doesn’t work just repeat the steps
