iPhone 4 users who have jail broken their phones can now download Flash video player (frash).
Over the weekend Redmond Pie broke news that Comex ported a version of Flash onto the iPhone. Since that time, frash has reportedly been confirmed as work for only the iPhone 4; however, it’s not very useful. Currently Flash ads are the only Flash based product that function properly.
Video sites like Hulu will not work with this pre-beta release of frash. It also drains your phones battery at a drastic rate. Perhaps the final version of frash will work more with sites commonly used. Although it is not recommended to use frash at this time, below we have listed the steps for downloading it. Please note, that this will only work on the iPhone 4. Additionally, you probably just want to watch NetFlix anyways, so here is a nifty way to watch it on a Jail Broken iPhone.
Installing frash
- Jail break your iPhone 4.
- Open Cydia select “Manage” and then “Sources.”
- Edit source and add http://repo.benm.at
- Search for Frash and install it.
