Texting while driving has increasingly been outlawed, and Tweeting falls under this category.
We all have smartphones (ok, a lot of us have smartphones), and more often than not, we use them to distract us from moments of boredom. Factor in rush hour traffic with the accessibility of your handy smartphone, you then have a moments freedom from the dulls of commuting. Sadly the government feels that texting, tweeting or anything that requires you putting data in your phone while driving, is somehow dangerous to others.
Jersey Shore’s Snooki is often at the end of many jokes, and this time Newark Mayor Cory Booker has the last laugh (although one must wonder why he would follow her at all). On September 8, she tweeted the following while driving, “@Sn00ki Ugh stuck in Nwk traffic is no fun,” which resulted in a subsequent tweet from Mayor Booker. @corybooker stated, “Snooki! I’m the mayor where R U so I can give u a ticket 4 texting & driving we needs revenue! RT @Sn00ki Ugh stuck in Nwk traffic is no fun.”
Although Snooki did not respond to his message, Booker did say he would tell Oprah about the situation, and something about needing an intervention. “Definitely going 2 tell @Oprah on her. @sn00ki needs an intervention RT @candiluv135 Cory! hasn’t she heard of Oprah’s No Phone Zone pledge?”
