What do Facebook users currently use the social network for, and why are they adding you as friend?

According to NMIncite, a Nielsen company, and a recent study shows that most users still use Facebook to stay connected with friends and family. Further, not even half of the 1,800+ surveyed participants stated they had ever used Facebook to network professionally.
