Play This Media (PTM) is owned and operated by Elliot S. Volkman. Although Play This magazine is host to rather humorous or out there articles, PTM remains professional in its business consultations. Elliot has worked through various jobs from news paper editor to Web developer, but his skill set and current interest is in social media.
“Working in the newspaper industry was a great foundation for providing factual and relevant information when strategically planning out a social media plan for any business. Having a background with Web development takes this one step further as a communication or marketing specialist, because you can really understand how to improve and innovate new ways to market a business or person,” said Volkman.
He has built hundreds of websites for his customers in the FAA, strategically managed new processes to improve production and innovated new ways to conveying internal news to federal employees. Volkman remains the mastermind behind PTM and Play This Magazine; however, the writers involved in the magazine are what keep it fresh.
In exchange for relevant working experience, job assistance and having an all around amazing place to be involved with, PTM’s founder continues to innovate new, low cost (non-profit organization) options for small businesses and anyone with communication or Web needs.
Elliot Volkman has successfully created the first free green print-on-demand edition of an online magazine. With full featured layouts, minimal advertisements and exclusive content, this project merged Web and print content successfully.
The Two-Hour website is Elliot’s newest project, where PTM will create a made from scratch website or remodeled one in under two hours. Using original content from the customer, PTM will modernize any website using open source content management systems. This project empowers beginners and small businesses with the ability to have a great modern site and continue to produce new content.
He has also produced and documented numerous business specific strategic communication plans. His management has allowed businesses to see drastic improvements to web based visitor traffic, interest in content and products. By producing press releases, viral ads and social media updates, Elliot has continued to improve all of his customers work.
Elliot is also completing his masters in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University. Additionally, he has been working on a yet to be titled novel that draws factual events and history into a fictional adventure.
